The shipping company Servicios y Concesiones Marítimas Ibicencas, S.A., (Sercomisa), operating under the Trasmapi trademark, is one of the pioneers in the field starting its operations in the 1960s.

It is the leading company in passenger transport between Ibiza and Formentera carrying a million passengers every year.

Trasmapi has the largest number of connections both in summer and in winter with a fast crossing of 30 minutes only. In the summer the passengers can enjoy the fresh air in the open decks, while in the winter they can stay comfortably in the inside lounges.

The fleet consists of vessels adapted to the climate and characteristics of Mediterranean Sea, which let the company to reduce the cancellation for bad weather conditions and to navigate safe. The ferries are constantly renewed in order to avoid technical problems, to improve the efficiency and granting the best service possible. Their aim is to offer a quality product and to grant a low environmental impact. For this reason, Trasmapi operates with vessels equipped with low-consumption and minimum pollution engines. Furthermore, every ship is provided of recycling points onboard.
